Beau Maestas

Hello, my name is Beau. I’ve been a resident of a select gated community for the past 23 years. I’ve been on death row for over half of my life and I’m not going to lie, it’s extremely hard at times.

I am currently taking courses through the College Guild, Level, and Edovo to better myself and continue my education and rehabilitation. Since coming to prison I have graduated high school, completed the Blackstone paralegal program with a certificate, and completed numerous courses through various organizations.

My aim is to come home to my wife and my family. I have seen the ugliest side that prison has to offer and dealt with things that were very unpleasant, but I choose to focus on growth and being the best version of myself despite the environment.
I’m seeking like-minded individuals who have intellectual conversation and are interested in social reform, prison advocacy, self-improvement and spirituality.
I’m aiming to make a positive contribution to others and show the world that we are more than our worst moments. We can choose to grow and become productive members of society again regardless of our mistakes and current circumstances.
