They say you can’t judge a book by its cover, and my story is proof of that.

I’m a 34-year-old man who believes that your past doesn’t have to determine your future. Life has taken me down an unexpected road, but through it all, I’ve learned the importance of growth, accountability, loyalty, and genuine love.

I’m currently incarcerated, serving a sentence of 20 years to life. I didn’t take anyone’s life, but I found myself caught up in an unfortunate situation involving the wrong people and decisions that changed my life. I’m actively pursuing an appeal and holding on to hope for a second chance.

But I’m not sitting around allowing time to define me. I’m currently attending college, working toward my associate degree in psychology. I’m passionate about understanding people, personal growth, and becoming a better man mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

What am I looking for?

A beautiful connection with a woman who has a good heart, an open mind, a sense of humor, and the ability to see beyond someone’s circumstances. Someone who enjoys meaningful conversations, laughter, honesty, and getting to know a person on a deeper level.

I’m not looking for someone to save me. I’m looking for someone who believes that real connections can begin in unexpected places.
