📬 How to Contact an Inmate
Interested in writing to someone? Great! 💌 But to actually send a message, you’ll need to use the right system.
On every profile, you’ll find two important things:
- 🆔 Inmate ID / DOC Number
- 💻 Communication System (like JPay, SmartInmate, GTL, etc.)
Each system is different. ⚠️ You can’t message someone directly from this website — you need to register on the correct external platform first.
📝 Step-by-step instructions:
- 🔍 Find the communication system listed on the profile (e.g. JPay, SmartInmate).
- 🌐 Go to that system’s website (see list below).
- 🆕 Create an account — it’s free.
- ➕ Add the inmate using their name, DOC number, and state.
- ✉️ Start writing! Once you’re approved, you can message them directly.
